The annual Walkathon is BESCA’s primary fundraiser and biggest community event. Students receive mileage sponsorships from family and friends and spend the day walking Booksin’s field along with classmates, teachers and family. Activities held throughout the day include the Silent Auction, Marketplace, Food Court, Teacher Fun Drawing, and Crazy Hair. 2016 Walkathon earning totaled over $200,000, all of which goes to support Booksin students through programs such as art, music, science, technology, library books, school assemblies, field trips, and classroom materials. Please join us on Saturday, October 14, 2017 for the 30th annual Booksin Walkathon!
The Book Fair is a wonderful weeklong event where our amazing local children’s bookstore, Hicklebee’s, provides us an opportunity to sell books and other items to raise money for our school library. In 2016 we earned over $5,000 donated in books!
